For the past two weeks, I have been using Flocabulary in the classroom regularly. From the first time I played one of the videos, I knew my students would be hooked. They instantly sang along on the chorus and watched in delight. Flocabulary's Pause and Play feature makes it easy to ask relevant and challenging questions that lead group and class discussions. As I use the video in the instructional part of the lesson, pausing and discussing, even students who do not usually speak up do! Flocabulary has engaging activities that line right up with the videos that the students are so in love with. All of the activities and videos are perfectly aligned with state standards. I often hear students sing the songs to themselves as they work in class. Several students loved the videos so much that they went home and showed their parents. Flocabulary has given me a way to teach the content we need to learn in the way my students learn best - through songs, video, and active involvement. Every time the rap ends, they ask to watch it again!
