I have intelligent, hardworking minority students who come from an economically disadvantaged home. Many do not have computers/ internet at home. I would like Chromebooks to teach my students the proper use of technology, and to interest them in American History. I want them to be able to take an interactive technology field trip to Jamestown, Mt. Vernon or the White House. I want them to be able to read primary sources from the National Archives. I want them to enter in the National History Day contest, and be able to research their topic. I want them to be able to research History to create a strong narrative to enter into the VFW's Patriot Pen essay contest. The internet will make these things possible for my students. Our classroom only has 1 computer in it.
