In my school, we are on a Hybrid schedule. So that means students work from home three days a week. If they are able to have a supply of colored pencils at home, as well as one at school, it prevents the shuffling of supplies (which maintains a more germ free environment). Also, these are high school students - they would forget anything at home unless it is attached to their cell phone! Help students create art both at home and in school! Since shared supplies are not allowed, the only mediums they can use are pencils and colored pencils. A third of the projects utilize the colored pencils. Our first project will be Genograms (the story of the student in pictures) as a way for the student to introduce themselves to me. Then lessons become varied with an Egyptian Cartouche, Zentangles, Greek Myths, Illuminated Letters, Mandalas, Totem Poles, Family Crests, and Graffiti Style Names!
