My students are AP Literature students who are in need of new textbooks in order to enhance their lives and introduce them to new types of literature. The more that they are subjected to a broad type of cultures through literature, the more well rounded and well versed they will be as students and as people in their futures. We are a low-income/impoverished school, and need assistance in purchasing a class set of The Complete Maus by Art Spiegelman books. My students work hard and are highly interested in becoming better at their reading and writing skills. By introducing them to this book, they will learn about topics such as social justice, which is highly applicable to the past, present, and future.
