My students are a very diverse group of learners. They are extremely active third graders. Because I teach in a Title 1 school with a nearly 90% free and reduced lunch rate, my students may not always come to school with the background knowledge and prior experiences of a more privileged population. Despite their circumstances, they are very eager and enthusiastic learners. They ask questions. They work so hard. They are proud of themselves and each other. I want to encourage their hard work and enthusiasm by giving them the resources they need to learn.
