My students are in need of yoga mates, DVDs, and yoga cards. Yoga has been proven to help reduce anxiety, reduce aggression, and help regulate anxiety and emotions. Yoga also helps children to concentrate and focus, improve their strength, motor coordination, social skills, improves confidence, and provides sensory integration. We will be incorporating yoga into our daily routine during morning meeting and breaks. Yoga will assist the students in learning techniques and strategies to help control anxiety, feeling calm, and feeling comfortable. By doing Yoga, it will help my students to control behaviors, learn new skills, and enjoy social interactions. It will also help students to live in a world that can be overwhelming and stimulating. By creating mindfulness through yoga this project will teach my students new ways to handle some of the struggles they face daily. Every BODY needs Yoga!
