Autism. Down Syndrome. Mild and Moderate Intellectual Disabilities. Many people would use these labels to describe my students, but I want to tell you more! I have the opportunity to work with a very special group of students each day! Although they face significant learning challenges, I am constantly amazed at their drive and their ambition. My students want to succeed! They want to be successful! Even if this means putting in a lot of hard work! Learning is exciting and hands-on activities motivate them! Walk into my classroom and you'll leave with a new best friend! In addition to being hard workers, my students are kind. They enjoy talking with any visitor that stops by. They greet everyone in the hall with smiles and high fives and always remember names! They put a smile on my face every day! It's rewarding to work with such an amazing group of students!
