Hello! My name is Miss Lamontagne from Chicopee High School. I am a chemistry teacher, but I also teach Intro to Physics and Biology. Because science is a research-based field, I try to incorporate technology in my lessons as much as I can so that students can discover science through a variety of resources and guide their research in a direction of their personal interest. In order to create an inquiry-based science classroom, classroom computers would expedite this research component rather than waiting for a computer lab day. Also, students work at different paces. Even with just a few classroom computers, students can use them as needed in their projects and research. In addition to science, I am also the CHS student council advisor. Computers are useful for this, as well, to take attendance at meetings, create shared documents for ideas, research new projects, and keep members up to date.
