Our school is located in a small, rural community and serves approximately 200 students. According to the latest data, our students are primarily from lower to middle socio-economic backgrounds. Approximately 61% of the students receive free or reduced lunch, making our school a high-poverty population. The educational background of the students is varied. Students with disabilities account for 15% of the total school population, and 5% of our students participate in the gifted program. Overall, our students perform well on district and state assessments, and go on to be successful in high school.
