By upgrading our project-based learning units to incorporate iPads and compatible technology, our kindergarten STEM units, such as composting, will become innovative and align with 21st century learning standards. This will engage not only students, but support school-to-home learning as they are able to use technology to engage whole families in the learning experience. We will be using the latest technologies including photo/video journaling, Flipgrid, and Google Classroom to demonstrate learning, as well as staying connected to families and our community through social media. Our culminating event will be school-wide exhibitions to showcase student discoveries and accomplishments. These milestones will be reached through continued inquiry, research, experimentation, and reflection. The addition of the iPads with cases and new headphones to our classroom will replace outdated and/or non-working technology and support our students in reaching their full potential.
