My 2nd graders take pride in doing their best while at school. Often times, however, they become distracted by certain situations they carry with them from home or by the behavior of others who sit close by. Students have the choice to move to a new spot in the room, one which allows them to complete their work to the best of their ability! The new spot may be near a window or in a quiet corner where they can focus. There are times, however, where this presents an even bigger challenge for students. Finding papers, clipboards and writing/illustrating materials is often a challenge. A lap desk, pre-filled with necessary materials, would allow each child the freedom to do what is best for their own learning, to be the best they can be~all within a fraction of the time. Lap desks for each student would allow for smoother transitions and more quality work time. Also, my students would be thrilled to have a classroom set of markers and colored pencils to complete their projects. Many often borrow supplies from those who brought their own. As a little extra, the mini ice packs and a hug are sometimes all it takes to make a child feel better and ready to learn again. My students and I would be grateful for any assistance you can offer. Thank you!
