The gift of culturally rich literary texts will help students understanding that they can find similarities and differences for their own culture, alongside their classmates. Students are taught that they are to be the changeling in their own communities, at school and at home. Having access to various texts to review, will also give students confidence and allow students to gain critical knowledge and inquiry skills. Based on the model of collaboration and growth mind set in our EL (Expeditionary Learning) environment, my students are in need of literature that speaks to them. Providing these resources will help guide students to seek answers, question, collaborate, and thrive in a classroom setting,
