My third graders love to use colorful, hands-on activities to learn our educational standards. They really get excited to see what color they will add to their interactive notebooks after new learning. They love getting new learning games that have been printed on vibrant colors instead of plain white cardstock. Also, making flashcards to help study our multiplication tables is so much better in color! Differentiation is so much easier when using colored copy paper. I use different colors to print activities based on students' learning levels. The students have no idea that their activity is geared specifically for them based on the color I use. Reading passages can be printed on different colors based on Lexile levels. Math games can be printed on different colors based on intervention or grade level standards. This is such an easy way to differentiate throughout all subject areas.
