What all of my students struggle the most with is, listening and speaking in a second language Having taught in other countries, I know first hand how nerve wracking it is to try to overcome learning a new language and having the confidence to speak to native peers. I'm requesting 2 iPad minis so that I can set up a listening station. At this station, students will be able to listen to stories work in educational programs providing by the school or practice listening to audio conversations to boost their listening and speaking confidence. In my classroom, we practice listening and speaking daily using cooperative learning strategies. The addition of technology would give my students a much needed boost of practice in the areas of listening and speaking. Students who are confident in their listening and speaking abilities will be ready to face the challenges of higher education and the workplace.
