Our school is small charter located in Santa Ana, but fortunately students from all over Orange County are in attendance creating a diverse community among the campus and within the classroom. In our classroom the majority of students come from low income households with many of them also being English language learners. Regardless of what goes on outside the safety of the school, my kiddos come to class each and every day ready to learn. They are genuinely grateful for the simplest of supplies such as pencils, paper, and book to read. They truly take ownership of themselves both socially and academically. Every single one of them has shown they are an explorer slowly mapping their own unique course. Therefore, it is imperative that I can attain as many resources and supplies as possible, these resources acting as their compass, so that their journey leads each one of them to their their own unique destination.
