Every day my students will be doing independent reading, to foster their love of reading and to practice reading skills taught in class. I like to tell my students that reading is an adventure and they will always have their buddy with them...their book buddy that is. The students in my class will each receive a "book buddy bag" to store books in. Each week they will "book shop" in the classroom and school library to choose the books that they want to read that week. Also housed inside their book buddy bags will be their independent reading notebook that they will fill with reading responses, letters, and much more! If you donate to this project you will be helping to promote reading and organization for the children in my class.
