A few years ago I got rid of chairs in my classroom and went to students sitting on yoga balls. I have read research on students moving while learning and have heard great things. I want students to learn while moving and pedal desks are a great way to do so! I have seen students' involvement and attention spans increase through movement within the classroom. Students look forward to coming into a classroom where differences in the way they learn are accepted. From couches, to bean bags, to pillows on the floor, yoga balls, and more, students in my room have a choice in their learning style.
