"Any book that helps a child to form a habit of reading, to make reading one of his deep and continuing needs, is good for him." -Maya Angelou This is my ultimate goal as a Reading Teacher, to make reading a deep and continuing need for each of my students. I mainly work with third and fourth grade students, providing small group instruction focused on specific areas of need. In addition to these interventions, I confer with students about their independent reading habits and goals on a regular basis.
