This school year we will be incorporating more book clubs in class in order for students to become more engaged in reading and interacting with their peers. Students need reliable and engaging books to read and donations are means to make this a reality. Students will be placed in cooperative book club groups in which they will take control of their own learning through small group reading and related activities. Donating to this project will provide my students the opportunity to have a varied book selection for their book club groups while also increasing their reading comprehension and fluency. This in turn will allow them to be at a more mastery level for standardized tests.
