My students do not have access to information about what is going on in the world around them. Time For Kids magazine will allow me to teach my students about real world events in a way that is appropriate for their learning and emotional levels. It will be a Common Core aligned, nonfiction text resource that reaches beyond what is already provided in my district. Time for Kids will provide my students with an excting new adventure each and every week. They will learn about places and people and events far from the place they call home. It will help broaden their understanding of how big the world actually is. I plan to use Time For Kids throughout my weekly social studies and literacy lessons, using it to integrate different aspects of the curriculum.
