I am a first year teacher, and the supplies I have for my students are limited. Because my students have severe handicaps, I am working VERY hard on providing them with hands-on, accessible materials to improve their skills in the primary focus areas of ELA and math. The file folder activities will provide my students with hands-on, fun work stations that will allow them to practice their basic math and ELA skills. I have 2 students in wheel-chairs and 1 who suffers from seizures frequently, and therefore appropriate carpeting is necessary. I came into the classroom with no carpets (only tiled floor), and therefore I had no other option but to use old, run-down carpets without designated seating areas. The new carpets I am requesting will allow my students to have designated seating areas and will be significantly more appealing. Please consider supporting my special students with special needs, because I love them as if they were my own, and I want to provide them with the best educational experience possible!
