Although fluorescent lights are more cost effective for schools, some students have adverse affects in this kind of environment. This kind of light can increase anxiety and cause headaches in some individuals who are sensitive to light. I am making my classroom more welcoming and inviting for all kids and I'd like to be able to give them the opportunity to choose an environment where they are most productive. I will use these light filters in specific areas of my classroom and as kids complete their independent work, they can choose where to work. The clipboards will give them are hard surface to work on if they choose to sit on the floor or a pillow chair.
