Students will have access to tools that will help them create video reflections, comments, or explain thinking that can be added to their blog or other applications we use throughout the week. Students can also create audio files for screencasts, reflections and brainstorming activities. Lapel microphones will isolate voices without background noise, thus making the speaker clearer to understand. Stylus' will help make student drawings more precise, especially in math and science. Cordless mice allow students the continued use of our flexible seating and alternate work spaces. Student creations can be used as alternate assessments, to chronicle thinking and learning; and can be used as a teaching tool for other students. These tools will be used with all subject areas. Allowing for an alternate way to capture thinking, learning and reflection is powerful for students when self assessing and allows teachers to assess in different (sometimes more effective) ways.
