These selected novels will enable me to have these books as exemplars of text to teach the common core standards. Each book selected as a classroom set has the potential to instill the love of reading for my students. These students can relate and make connections to the chosen literature, and have opportunities for enhancement for my gifted readers. The stools and bean chairs will provide flexible seating throughout my classroom, this will increase student motivation. The lanyards will be used to broaden their vocabularies, and each student will learn a multitude of new words each day using the lanyards as an approach to develop oral language, which will increase student achievement. The majority of this project is developing classroom sets of updated literature to motivate students to read and learn the rigorous curriculum of common core.
