After reading many blogs about how flexible seating has improved students' engagement, focus, and motivation in other classrooms, I can't wait to use it in mine. Allowing students to choose the seat that "fits" them best creates an environment where students are excited about learning! They have the opportunity to think about how they learn best, choose that seat, and take control of their own learning. Not only does flexible seating keep them on task, but it also allows them to participate in bouts of physical activity. The wobble chair is a seat does just like it sqys, it wobbles. This allows the child to move while they work. The sensory feedback is amazing for those children who may struggle some with these issues. The stability cushion works primarily the same way as the wobble chair except it sits in the regular classroom chair. It is not as mobile as the wobble chair but it still allows them to move while they work along with improving their posture.
