I am a speech-language pathologist within a public school. I see many students in the special education system, kindergarten through fifth grade. At this time, I do not have an adequate book selection to practice important comprehension and narrative skills. Many of my students are working on answering wh- questions, making inferences, making predictions, and retelling events about stories. These skills are difficult for them and therefore, they can become frustrated with the idea of reading. It is my goal that my students not only excel in reading but also find JOY in reading. It is essential that these students practice these skills with books that are on their own specific, individual reading level. My students are at various stages of their literacy journey and a variety of leveled books are required to address all of their needs. Help me provide these books to my students to help them build a solid foundation for reading!
