My students have art every other day for a semester. In all, I have them about 22 hours a school year. Given that, I want to expose them to as many types of art as possible in this time frame, and try my best to have materials available where they can achieve a high level of experience in the shortest amount of time. Light Pads help tremendously in reducing time. My students use them to trace and clean up rough drafts to final draft format without starting the final from scratch (a huge time saver!). We use them in constructing Mandelas, our Cubism Project, and our unit on Advertising and Graphic Design, just to name a few! I have around 35 students per class, so additional light pads would help so much! Thanks for your consideration!!
