Many of my students do not have computers or Internet access at home. In our classroom, we only have one laptop. With technology skills so vital to so many career paths, I want to prepare my students better. I am currently taking two classes about technology in the classroom, but need supplies to implement all of the awesome ideas I have learned. With four tablets, I would be able to add a center using technology to my daily rotation, as well as have the resources to differentiate in all subjects. Not only would this help me meet the needs of all my students who are below or above grade level, but it would also be incredibly engaging for my students. There is a huge inequity between districts in higher income areas and the technology they can provide their students and the resources I have for mine.
