Through getting classroom sets of magazines from National Geographic kids and Time for kids, my students will be able to explore other places through reading. They will be able to see things and learn about things that they might not get an opportunity to do otherwise. These magazines will also be used during guided reading to help my students become better readers. A listening workstation will help my students to become better readers and listeners. Kids love to be read to. Many students never get read to except at school. I want to ensure that each of my students have the opportunity daily to experience this.
