If this project is funded, students will be incredibly excited to see new titles and will beg to get their hands on a book. I plan on hosting a book tasting event in class so that students can get an idea of what is available. They will create a wish list and we will have a book raffle to see who can get one of coveted books first. Students will be required to keep a reading journal about the books they are reading as opposed to doing a worksheet over every chapter. In addition, each student will host a book talk to entice their peers to read their book. There is no doubt in my mind, this project will promote a joy and lifelong love for reading.
