I have already purchased one Osmo personally. With my students learning best through small group instruction, I have a push-in teacher to help facilitate their learning. I would LOVE to be able to have an additional Osmo Wonder Kit so that multiple groups can work at the same time. The Osmo system gives students the opportunity to explore learning at their own pace, while encouraging students to think outside the box. When I engaged with the Osmo system, I immediately began realizing the potential for student learning. In the numbers unit alone, students can learn how to use their doubles facts, doubles plus one, three digit addition, and more. The difficult challenge in my room is meeting the needs of all my learners. I have students who are still working on letter and sound recognition and students who are reading above a 4th grade level. Osmo will allow me to meet the needs of these students in one kit, without students recognizing they aren't working on the same thing because it's all fun and engaging!
