Reading has enhanced my own personal life in so many ways. By giving my students a plethora of reading material, I hope to aid in doing the same thing for them. Everything I have hope in for my students' futures relies on reading. I want them to think, to dream and to have new experiences. Reading is a catalyst for their future. These books will be used in our classroom as a way for students to explore their interests. Kids will be reading the books during our reading workshop. Students will be responding to books they read in writing and by hosting books talks. By expanding our library, I am hopeful there will be something to catch the eye of all students. With your donation my students will be able to visit places and experience events they otherwise would not. Reading is the gateway to the world. And for students' whose world happens to be within four or five city blocks, this project can be life changing.
