Stability balls will be used in place of chairs at one of our work tables and several desks. Every child is special and unique and so is his/her learning style. My job as a teacher is to make learning easier for my students, not request children who have difficulty focusing and sitting still to do their work sitting on traditional classroom chairs. The stability balls will allow students to rock, bounce, and move while still being engaged in their learning. With the 12 stability balls that I am requesting, my students will be able to choose how they learn best. Every success that a child experiences will lead to a greater sense of self. Student choice and positive self image are very important to a child's academic and emotional growth. Giving students different seating opportunities to best fit their needs will give them a greater chance at success. Nothing make me happier as a teacher than seeing my students succeed. I am positive that these stability balls will have my students and I bouncing for joy!
