My students love Science! With the implementation of NGSS standards students are expected to do more than use the Scientific Method. Students are expected to conduct scientific inquires, which includes knowing how to adjust variables to achieve a desired result. My students will use the measuring cups, beakers, and measuring spoons to learn about chemical and physical changes. Students will experiment with different amounts of substances (vinegar, water, baking soda, etc) to draw conclusions about the substances. Based upon their observations, students will determine which substances cause a balloon to inflate, which substances cause a liquid to fizz, which substance causes a cabbage water to change colors.
