The student population I work with on a daily basis are students who come from a high poverty background. In our local community, 75% of families fall below the poverty line. Most of our students are also minority students. Our students need access to the same resources that other students who do not come from the same background have access to. By giving them access to better resources, it will allow them to be more successful academically, increase self-esteem, and allow them to enjoy school so that they will want to show up. My classroom is full of eager learners and I want to fill their minds with lots of knowledge to help their future.

About my class
