When most of us think of a classroom, we envision children sitting at their desks and a teacher at the front of the room explaining a concept or teaching a lesson. Although that vision still holds true in many classrooms, teaching is evolving to meet differences in learning styles. We are constantly moving around our classroom, but when my students are at their desks they have a difficult time focusing. Many of my students in my classroom have special needs, which makes focusing very difficult. Having seats that move and bands that students can press on increases students engagement. The tactile learning resources will also keep my students engaged during their reading centers. I am excited to see how these alternative seats will impact my students' learning!
