My school district requires that I teach Percy Jackson & the Lightning Thief to my 6th graders as part of the curriculum; however, many of the books that I currently have are ripped and damaged. Not only that, but I do not have a full class set of books (this includes the damaged books). These books will provide my students with the necessary novels, and it will also allow my students to have the option to take books home. Also, they won't have to share books or deal with damaged books that have ripped out or missing pages. All of these things will allow my students access to the district's curriculum so that they can be successful.
