Each year a new group of students walks into my classroom ready to learn! However, they all learn and work in different ways. Think about a time when you have been working on a project or were reading a good book. Do you sit at your desk and do work or do you sprawl across the floor? How many times do you change positions or even spots during that time? Research shows that when the body is active, the mind is active. The flexible seating plan will also include other items like stability balls, cushions, lap desks, and standing desks. This project will improve students' learning and engagement by providing another option to work. It will allow them to choose what seating helps them be more productive and engaged, therefore improving their learning and life.
