Last year I started taking pictures with my iPhone of students experimenting in my science class. I then sent the pictures to parents. The response was awesome and I soon realized that my students should be the ones in charge of integrating art into science class. I will be integrating the science of photography into my lessons. We will learn how to take good pictures with the requested Nikon Coolpix digital cameras and share them with friends and family. Each student will decide the best way to share their photos. The students with limited access at home can use the Epson printer to print a picture in class and take it home. Students with internet access can put their pictures on the cloud and share through their school Google account, texting or email. Some students will show me new and exciting ways that they will share their pictures. Photos can be stored on the Kingston flash memory cards. STEAM(Science, Technology, Engineering and Math + Art) makes my class the most desirable on campus. These digital cameras will help elevate my students' love of science for years to come.
