Learning is at it's best when it's shaped by the world around us; when it gives us a lens through which to shape our own world and offers us opportunities to frame the past and present. It needs to connect history, science, news, and culture in ways that make us literate and make life a more meaningful journey. It needs to be grounded in primary sources that challenge us and force us to make our own truths and build our own stories. Learning is at it's best when it fuels big questions, while giving us the foundation we need to operate in the marketplace of ideas. Learning is at it's best when we experience it. The world can become the classroom. Every failure, personally or in history, can become teachable moments. An iPad in our classroom can do just these things. Through the use of technology, the world is at our fingertips.
