Research shows that doing away with traditional desks can be beneficial and instead providing a flexible seating classroom can boost student motivation, focus, and work completion. Providing a variety of furniture choices will allow us teachers to do away with traditional seating. This will create the necessary environment to transform our classroom into a comfortable learning place where students get excited to participate in lessons and daily activities. Students can choose to sit on a floor cushion with a lap desk, stand at a high table, sit on a rotating stool, or snuggle up on a comfy couch! What fun!
