The New York Times Upfront is a news magazine specifically designed for high school students. Each issue teaches current events relevant to students with thought-provoking content on today’s most important news stories. With your contribution, my students will get a subscription to this biweekly magazine as well as access to the Upfront website and iPad app. Given that it is an election year, the content of this magazine is even more relevant and important because it will keep my students informed on an election that will directly impact them (and one in which some are even eligible to vote). The stories connected to the election will help my students develop the knowledge and critical thinking skills needed to be active participants in our democracy.
