There should be no such thing as boring mathematics! The multiple games in the Osmo exploration system will allow my students to expand their critical and logical thinking skills. Tangrams teaches spatial relational and visual problem-solving skills. Numbers teaches addition, subtraction, and multiplication. Pizza Co. teaches math, money, fractions and nonverbal communication skills. Students calculate change using topping & money tiles, invest profits to upgrade their shop or open a new location. Coding combines problem solving into 21st century learning. Real life learning! When kids get the idea that there are multiple good ways to solve a problem, math becomes creative and fun. The Osmo exploration system is used in conjunction with an iPad. Students always get excited when any type of technology is used during instruction, which makes learning seem like play. Students will actively learn multiple skills through play, inquiry, and investigation. Kids play math without the pressure of time or the fear that they’ll get the wrong answer. Osmo’s real-time feedback lets kids learn through experimentation in a stress-free environment. The system adjusts to each child to make the learning personalized.
