My students walk into our classroom everyday full of life, motivated, and eager to learn. They are extremely bright and energetic. We are constantly celebrating our love for learning. From the minute they walk into our classroom, I want my students to feel loved, supported, and successful. Our class is comprised of 30 Kindergarten scholars from Baltimore City. They face many challenges both in and out of school. About 95% of my students are Black and/or Latino. Most students are from bilingual households and receive free or reduced price lunch. I believe in my students. They have the potential to succeed. I am hopeful to steer my early learners on a path of academic excellence.
