In this fast growing technological society, one way our students can prosper is from using the internet to research the past. The best way for our students to understand and comprehend what they should be learning is to become involved in the material. I have requested ten Chromebooks to help my students become active historians in the classroom. Giving low-income students access to new technology is an investment in their future. This will broaden their horizons in the classroom and allow them to take virtual field trips, view ancient ruins, and research many people of the past. Students will be able to prepare research papers, which will in turn better prepare them for college and their future.
