Being able to provide my students with an opportunity to have a listening center, where they can engage in read-along, will help expand my students vocabulary and reading comprehension skills. This project will help my students find a love for reading. My students need an opportunity to read independently or partnered through 21st century learning. Having a love for reading will help my students as they prepare for second grade where reading skills will increase. My students would love being able to listen to stories they can relate to through picture books and read-along, which may inspire them to be an author one day.
