Each of my students have his or her own obstacles to learning. Thus, a major part of my job is to find non-traditional ways for each child in my class to reach his or her maximum potential. Many of my students face attention challenges making it difficult for them to sit in a traditional student desk and chair for extended periods of time. Adding flexible seating to my classroom will provide my students an environment that will maximize their learning potential. Wobble chairs and wobble cushions are two fantastic flexible seating options because they serve a variety of purposes. They are easily movable, which allows them to be used in a variety of classroom arrangements. Their ergonomic design also allows students to move and flex without leaving their chair. These flexible seating options help increase blood flow to the brain and lower a child's desire to fidget and move. Adding them to my classroom will provide my students an outlet to allow them to focus on learning to read. Numerous studies have shown that this simple addition to the classroom will pay huge dividends in students' educational development.
