Kids love to perform in Orchestra and Band! The school district I work in is a high-need community. It is an urban district and has very little resources for regular classrooms, much less the arts. Children love to play an instrument and get so much out of accomplishing the tasks needed to learn an instrument. It is such a concrete subject for real time learning and learning how to move forward with mistakes and all. In other words, it is a real world education in real time of perseverance and working hard to achieve short-term and long term goals.

About my class
