Imagine drawing artwork and you can tell something's off, but you can't quite put your finger on it. Imagine also your teacher explaining virtually how to improve your artwork, but you can't "see" what he is "saying" because there is no direct hands-on instruction. The Apple iPad and Apple Pencil will allow me to "show" what I'm "saying." When students submit their designs, I can capture the image using the iPad. During my explanation, I can perform a demonstration in real time; drawing on top of their images to show them where lines should lead for realism and where lines, colors, and shapes could go for expression.
