Our class likes to connect our academics to art by expressing ourselves using watercolor and other forms of art. Watercolor is a calming experience for the students. It is a way for them to practice focus, mindfulness, and patience. They preserve when their art is "not perfect". They learn to quiet their minds. It is just as important for students to experience beauty and joy in school as it is for them to learn to read and write. In today's busy world it is important for students to experience soothing activities like art. All students even in public schools deserve to experience the healing of Waldorf Education.

About my class
